Verifiability because of Open Source

The basis of our security solutions ist the secRT (security Runtime), an Open-Source platform, jointly developed together with the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) entwickelt haben. It was tested from the BSI and available for free download on our homepage (LINK). Here also the Source Code – under LGPL license – is published. This runtime environment is the basis of all our solutions. It is designed entirely according to SOA principles, is based on open standards and can be integrated in all system environments. Platform and system independent the secRT allows simple implementation and execution of security applications.

Open Source does not automatically mean protection and security. Publishing the Source Code under Open Source license allows everybody to verify the solution. So anybody may verify or have it verified, that there are no “backdoors” in the eperi solution.

  • The eperi XML Gateway in the alliance for cyber security (Allianz fuer Cyber-Sicherheit)

Based on the secRT the eperi XML Gateway was developed. This is a security solution, successfully protecting Web-Services and SOA infrastructures while remaining transparent for applications and users. The Gateway can be used as software and as Virtual Appliance – on premise and in the Cloud.

As founding member of the Allianz für Cyber-Sicherheit we provided the XML Gateway for alliance members and partners as downloadable Open Source solution on the alliance homepage.

  • Laws require encryption

The eperi Gateway helps to fulfill legal requirements regarding protection of sensitive data.
